not a bit worried at all. Ireland were unlucky not to score more goals in their first 2 games and i am confident they will get it right this time round. the Saudi's aren't good in the air, so a few high balls in and who knows?? i am really looking forward to this

Ireland have NEVER scored two goals in a World Cup finals game... but they will on Tuesday...

We've a better team there now at this World Cup than we've ever had IMHO...

as for whether it's worth getting worked up over or not... yeah... why not? make a day of it - enjoy it! Go wild :)

Chill man! We're only gonna beat Saudi 1-0 but Cameroon are gonna beat Germany 2-1 to knock em out at leave every Kraut from here to Hamburg goin "What ze fu.ck happened here?" Teams who let in injury time goals always end up paying for it. Our lads can tell you that more than anyone!

Hell yes its worth it. Im taking the day off for it. It's not very often we get to experience the world cup, let alone Ireland in it (with a chance to get in the second round) so you might as well enjoy it while it lasts. I don't want to be complacent about it, but we'll get 2 goals :)

Yo Pigman, lay off the 'kraut' s**t. This is not England. We have no innate historic resentment of the Germans. Ignorant tabloid culture is not our culture. Examine your conscience.

feeling a lot better about the match now
we should hammer em into the ground no probs.. cant wait
I must admit,I had very low hopes about ireland coming this far without keane...this proves that we really dont have a one-man team!

with Saudi captain Al-Jabar having an appendix operation and leading striker Al-Dossary having an operation on knee ligaments it is looking so much better. it is on Aertel page 225 for anyone who wants to read

And not to forget only two in euro88 as well! But thankfully we're not playing under Charlton anymore and goalscoring is actually being encouraged now.

Hate to go all statto on you all but the proof is in the numbers
    Euro 88 qualifiers : played 8 scored 10
    Wc 90 qualifiers : played 8 scored 10

    WC 2002 qualifiers : played 10 scored 25 (afaik?). That's the difference.

Sorry but just reading your post really reminds me of Paul Whitehouse's character Ron Manager.

    "World Cup 90 , wasn't it?
    4-0 , didn't he?
C'mon England, the Scotch, and the Leprechauns too!
Hmmm yes, jumpers for goalposts. Young boys running around in the sun. Next goal wins!
    Marvelous!"
