What's the G-police sector Status?

Read somewhere on the forum that the g-police's sectors were 99 and 100. I decided to go over for a look so after paying the 70 mil toll I was promptly reduced to an escape pod by the mines in the sector. Another stupid newbie mistake I'll chalk down to experience. Anyway any safe sectors out there that we can bed down in?

Not sure if there are any safe sectors out there apart from fed space... I'd say your best bet is to flee to an alliance sector.
(Planets => Show alliance planets)
You should be safe enough in a well defended alliance sector, and afaik you can land on any corporate planet.

but i thought the idea behind these sectors was that smaller ships could stay there?? why mines?????

Yeah but some idiots dont read up on things and the sector has been taken twice :rolleyes: you can enter if you pay the toll which is quite high

So long as your average tech level is under 8 :rolleyes:. I went to have a look, paid the generous toll and was promptly destroyed after hitting 26 million mines(literally). I wasn't too happy
