    grrr hate that word. just had a go of this here game? and found myself completely lost. Clicked a few links upgraded the old shiphull like it said in the faq thing, got an escape somethin or other and captured 4planets but no people on board to stick on them. seen another ship(didn't feel so alone:)), and a g-police sector. So eh how long till ya start gettin good. I used that trade link thing and clicked do the trade 50times and got 100000 odd k. Hmmmmmm so what i do with planets and eh what else should i be doing or am i lost cause before i start!? The thing is, i'm stuck in a place. Say i'm at sector 50 the only link is to 49, but when you go to 49 the only link back is to 50. the real space trippy take 130 turns hmmmmm.

    its based on turns and trading u get x amout of turns every few min not 100% sure what it is this round. You use the turns to trade between different ports these ports but and sell organics ore goods or energy depending on what its called i.e. ore ports buy all except ore that they sell. its the same for all the rest.
    The money you make you use to upgrade ur ship. the bigger a hull you have the more goods you can carry. the bigger a computer u have the more fighters you can carry and the more torpedo launchers you have the more torps you can carry. you make planets with genesis torps each cost 1 million gil. (ffx rocks)

    You put people on the planet to maintain it and make it grow you buy these people at a special trade post. like 0 (sol)

    When your tech level is above 8 u are auto towed from federation space after 6 min.

    Your max amout of turns you can hold is 5000 afaik.
    if you start killing loads of other people and taking over there planets the federation puts a bounty on you. and the more you do the bigger it gets.

    Traveling cost's turns as does trading depending on your engine size you can travel from anywhere to anywhere for 1 turn. (if you engine level is above 11 you can do this.) you can create trade routes that make it faster to trade but you are better off not doing that till you have large enough engines.

    Buy a fuel scoop it auto collects energy which you can sell or keep to power your shields or weapon beams.

    buy an escape pod that way if someone attacks your ship and wins you can still play on with your planets and money that you may have.

    if you dont have an escape pod and you get killed thats it you are left with 0 and will be reborn after x amount of time.

    it takes 2000 citizens on a planet to reproduce (there a bit slow no sex education when they were young)

    Dont have to high a population for anyone planet as you will make less (if you have 100,000,000 citizens on a planet (that is the max) they wont reproduce so you loose that and that adds to your score.) Best bet is about half that 50,000,000 keep an eye on how much they are producing cause if they have loads you can take it and sell it.

    Build a base as soon as you can on your planet/s
    this adds to its defense ability.

    get good trade routes goods to ore is best.

    more later if i get the chance.
