Okay here we go again, my prediction is

Ireland 0
Germany 2

My reasoning being that Irelands defence won't be able to stop Ballack, Klose and Schneider.

The Germans are big, strong and tactical but the whole team are not fully fit.

If Holland, Reid, Keane, and Duff run with good One 2 comvbinations it will cause Germany problems.

Anyway, some points to note on the match: Harte is dire. His only plus point is his usefulness at set-pieces. He can't defend.

Germany are really bad. Cameroon should beat them. Some of the players they have on wouldn't have got into a West Germany 50 man squad in the past, never mind the unified nation's squad. Where art thou Beckenbauer with your predictions of football world dominance once the wall came down?

There is alot to be said for having a big donkey like Quinn on the field. Yes he concedes frees left right and centre due to his gangliness and lack of co-ordination, but look at our goal..

I'm not sure how much more Gary Kelly has to offer Ireland. Kilbane, in contrast to his game against Cameroon, was poor. I'd be in favour of bringing in Reid to the midfield in some position. It may involve juggling Harte around (at least at left mid he couldn't **** up TOO badly with severe consequences).
