Giles tells us that "England are going to have to improve on todays performance with Sweden if they are going to do well in their next two matches against Argentina and CAMEROON!"

Well imho the best coverage is the BBC. ITV's commentators and panelists are a joke (anyone else think Gazza is pissed!!!) and as for RTE....phffff why the hell do we pay them a license fee for such amaturish fair.

And then there's Dunphy. He wants Ireland to lose our remaining two games. Such a great panelist. At least we are more neutral than BBC or ITV, as, incredibly, one of our panelists wants our own team to lose.

God I'd love to see Beglin as an anylist for an Ireland-England World Cup game. His preview would probably be something along the lines of; "well George I think that if we play at the top of our game, like we all know we can play, and maybe some of our players have a bad day, then we should be good enough to beat us."

Dunphy is by far the best reason to watch the RTÉ coverage, he's far more passionate than the rest of them and is far more entertaining. Overall though it isn't a great 'team'... Beglin is a complete muppet, Cascarino is a master of the obvious and while Giles and Brady know their stuff, they have a tendency to send you to sleep.

RTE and BBC are winning it for me ,its its not on BBC i watch it on RTE.
On Digital the picture and sound are actually better than BBC.

Yeah, but you keep watching no matter what he says. Exactly what RTE are looking for. Love him or loathe him, he's great entertainment.

In my opinion, RTE have (by a mile) the best pundits. Giles and Dunphy are still the most entertaining and informed pundits on the telly. I don't waste my time watching the panelists on the other stations saying the same thing they've been saying all year - "well, of course some words were said at half time, blah, blah" Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
