we drew 1-1 with a very average side. The way ppl were going on you'd swear we'd won the world cup, it was a feisty second half performace nothing more, the thing about Ireland is that we always start well in the world cup and then we quickly diminsh, remember 94? that said we are well capable of beating the Germans, but Keane's finishing will have to be better sure he was unlucky when he hit the post but he missed a free header, I saw Dunphy and its hilarious watching him he really is motivated with full of hatred for Mccarthy. Germanys defence is the weakest link we can exploit it c'mon you boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By God Dunphy is a gob****e. Can't help but laugh at his bleetin on about football when he hasnt a notion.

Cameroon aint an average side though. With a player like Eto'o, anythings possible.

True but he was virutally non existent in the second half, maybe because our backline sharpened up.

He actually said, Lauren is a class above anyone else he was alright, nothing special bascially he dislikes every player with the exception of Keane, Holland did a more than adequate job of filling the roll, he's a grafter and he really did me proud.

You're wrong. Cameroon are one of the 10 best teams in this world cup and cannot be dismissed as average just because our game was enough to halt them today.

You're also wrong with your forcast about the team wilting over the coming games. That may have happened in the past but all previous examples were under Jack Charlton and everyone knows that his game 'plan' drains players much more than McCarthy's style of play.

The mere fact that we were actually growning in strength the longer todays game went on proved that our current tactics are more energy effeciant than Charltons "kick and run" game.

Point taken but we'll take each match as it comes. Dunphy really lost the plot tonight more like he lost the plot a long time ago.

I'm going to retract my opinon, after reading the exemplary article in the Irish Times Keane was partly right, anyone who got it today will see what I'm saying, so Dunphy despite acting like a tosser did make a valid point. althoguh I think his treatment of Liam Brady is a disgrace.

there is no doubt that dunphy is a tosser tho he does know a bit about football and gets on these shows unfortunately :/

    Dunphy - what an arsehole:rolleyes:

I watched the the match on RTE but the post match analysis on BBC - couldn't be arsed listening to those morons arguing with each other

    Good result all the same:)

I did the opposite can't stand George Hamilton and Jim Beglin is worse if anything. But halftime analysis from RTE is funny you almost think the lads are going to start a fight or something.
