Anyone know any dodgy links for live streaming world cup?

Remember for that dodgy Iranian site where we could watch the Iran V Ireland game?

Anyway, if ye have any ideas let us know.

You gotta pay for streams on that yahoo site as far as I know. The best I've found is live commentry on http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/

had one that was going pretty well until they cut the feed straight at 11.

from five lives homepage..... "Due to rights restrictions we are not be able to broadcast World Cup commentaries online

    I'm curious about that.

Due to rights issues, they definately can't broadcast the game. But -- assuming that there's no audio of the actual game coming through -- what is the legal status of a commentary? In some way it's more than a derivative work, because there is additional knowledge and "artistic nature" being applied: research and knowledge of the players involved, knowledge of the game itself, decisions about what is important to report and what is different. IMHO, two commentaries of the same game would both be unique.

But wouldn't the audio commentary be the same as some of the text commentary we're seeing? (cf. Philips MatchCast)

    YO!

    go to www.ladbrokes.com

click the 'football' link at the top

on the left hand column of the page, you'll see a link to listen to the matches.

It's unofficial commentary, but it's pretty good!!!

    SENegal are up 1-0

yea listening to that comentary myself!...it's not bad.

They are also doing unofficial commentary.
Actually its pretty good if you are in the car as they are on 252 LW and you get a good reception compared to 5-Live.

I downloaded a program called vTUNER (www.vtuner.com) which apparently lets you watch TV stations on the net(via Real Player 9).

Also plays worldwide radio stations. I`m waiting to see if any game will be broadcast on some foreign stations as the bbc streaming live video won`t work.

Any one used this program. Its a 15 day trial.
I`ll report back when i can give more info.
