    they dont give a sh*t!
they will charge you for what should be free!*
the place will be covered in pigs... the same ones who beat the crap out of us the other day.

if you want to party in a field DO IT YOURSELF.

heard earlier today that green velvet are playing there this year, anyone know if this is true?
i can just imagine it now, all my old favourites, perculator, red light and of course 'cameras ready prepare to flash'
    count me in regardless:cool:

shockin line up isnt it :( only a few worth bothering with there. if im in the country ill go for tom middleton, underworld, jon carter, sasha, green velvet, slam, justin robertson and picotto on on the outdoor stage. but theres no justification for a ticket price like that for a gig with such a poor lineup

****. I had been looking forward to this year's CM, especially after last year's pwnage and hearing Homelands was cancelled. I don't see myself bothering this year.

    wtf are cream playing at?!?

    I heard they're headlining it
well for anyone who wasn't there they didn't headline it, although they got a large crowd, lovely bodies on those women, thankfully the sound system was hooked up as such you couldn't hear them sing'n :) then i went off to cream n lust as that got tiresome rather fast

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,339 ✭✭✭✭tman

yeah, i wasted half an hour leering at them, then i staggered off to lust.
had a good day anyway, picotto kind of ruined the end of it tho (he should have been playing those tunes at 12pm, not am)
highlight of the day was definitely mark kavanagh, he would have been better suited to close the outdoor stage

anyway, i'm off to bed, havnt had any sleep since b4 creamfields.......

yeah i was far too tired for what mauro was playing, made me more tired really..........i left half way through. Didn't see mark kavanagh...dunno what my highlight was so many class sets : Lisa Pin up,lisa lashes, john power, ferry corsten, judge jules(was 2 feet away from those last 2 for da set, deadly :) ), underworld were fairly coo also...just sat n listen'd to em

picottos set was the most mindblowing set ive ever heard. BUT it was too intelligent for the crowd that was there, theyd have been better off with their 15 pills in the lust arena giving it socks to mark kavanagh with their shirts off to the latest 165bpm dirt that sounds just like the last 500 hard house tunes

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 728 ✭✭✭Derek_S

thats a bit of a snobby view, just coz you don't like hard house and prefer techno

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,661 ✭✭✭✭Helix

i have no problem with people who like hard house who actually have a clue about the music, same with any other kinda music. its the madoutofits who dont have a fookin breeze about anything other than how many pills theyre doin that gets me about hh

"latest 165bpm dirt that sounds just like the last 500 hard house tunes"

    no problem with it eh

the lies of lisa lashes and lisa pin up are to hard house what ian van dahl is to progressive trance. hard house isnt about that ****e, its about the REAL stuff like paul glazby, paul janes etc

the lust arena closed at 12.
most hh i listen to is around 150-155, maybe up to 160 if its pitched up a bit, and i reckon kavanagh didnt go far over the 155 mark.
you seem to know an awful lot about the crowd that was there considering you weren't there yourself

helix at the end of the day it's only your opinion it's not the right one its your no oones slating you so ya shouldn't slate other people

your most valid point so far!
paul janes is eaisily one of the best hh producers out there, pretty class dj as well (i think i heard some of 'disco damaged')
od404, karim, nick sentience, andy farley and mark kavanagh are all either dj's or producers who are actually adding something to the scene, as opposed to all the female dj's out there who seem to just be in it for the money (dont mean to be sexist, thats just the way i see it)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,661 ✭✭✭✭Helix

now theres me point tman. kudos to you, you KNOW about the hard house scene... but if youre completely honest im sure youll admit that upwards of 90% of the people who say they like hard house havent got a breeze about anything other than gettin mad out of it and chewin the faces off themselves to lisa lashes. theyre the same kinda people who think the logical song was a work of art and that lisa pin up is technically the most tallented dj in dance music history. the leeches that just suck off the scene without giving anything back apart from a bad name

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 728 ✭✭✭Derek_S

that is such a genrelisation how about if i say all techno heads are stuck up fags who preach on to everyone about music educating you and think there better than everyone else,ot's views like that why i hate the dance scene in dublin

    damn snob

Ok, well being as the topic (I think) is/was Creamfields, I had a great day there. Thought Underworld were a bit of a let down, thoroughly enjoyed Sasha, Faithless, Mr C, Jon Carter, Green Velvet and, yes, the Sugababes (got loads of great photos of them actually ;), very sexy girls!) Didn't once queue for the bar or the loos (thank god for the Bugged Out building) and got there and back very quickly on the bus. Anyone else enjoy?

    had a great time myself.
picotto was a bit of a let down, but i still want to go see him play in a smaller venue.
the bar service was pretty sweet, would have prefered a bit more choice than just heineken tho:(
it all got a bit messy a little too early in the day, so i ended up missing most of the acts i wanted to see:rolleyes:
of the acts i saw mark kavanagh impressed the most (after a pretty ****e performance at a local club recently) faithless were pretty good and springer was alright.
i dont think ill bother developing the pictures i took, 50% of them are gonna be of the godskitchen plane & stuff like that, prolly only 1 or 2 decent ones in the bunch.
i'll definitely be going next year anyway (i just hope the can get a later licence)

Sh1te compared to last year, although I expected it would be - I wouldn't even have bothered if Homelands was on this year. Spent the entire day going between Cream and Bugged Out. Faithless were great craic, but Underworld (the main reason I went) were just too low-key for the mood I was in, so I buggered off back to Bugged Out after a few tracks. Everyone had been playing Underworld all day anyway - I must have heard Cowgirl three times before Underworld themselves played it.

And what the christ were the sugababes doing there?? Presumably for the 15-year-old half of the audience. What's next, Backstreet Boys at CF 2003?

    heres the bad news:
homelands will not be returning to ireland

    heres the good news:
creamfields will not be returning to ireland

heres the "im vaguely interested in this but i know theyll mess it up" news:
godskitchen global gathering in ireland next year

    heres the very interesting news:
an irish festival put together by irelands main clubs is in the works, wont be irish acts only tho. itll feature the artists associated with each club in that clubs arena

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,339 ✭✭✭✭tman

    :(

not too fussed about creamies not coming back, but i really wanted to go to another homelands (messed the last one up big time)

ggg could be good, and that irish one sounds interesting... too early to start getting excited/dissapointed about them yet

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,661 ✭✭✭✭Helix

nothing will ever touch the first homelands, pure magic
