    anyone reccomend any decent clubs in Bristol city? preferably hip-hop or failing that a decent techno club/night..

    staying there for a few days start of july.. (after glastonbury)

    I'm a bit embarrassed to say that although Bristol is my home town, I've lived away for so long I wouldn't have a clue what the clubs are like these days. The only one i can remember off hand is Lakota (Upper York St., Stokes Croft - near the city centre). They play a mixture of drum n' bass and techno most nights, with a good selection of local and occasionally big name DJs. My memories of it are a bit fuzzy though as the last time I was there it was my birthday (about 5 years ago).

    aye i reckon bristol would have been a tad bit different in 97 alright.. what with roni size/portishead/massive attack/tricky all jumping around at that time :)

    cheers, had actually forgotten this thread.. i'm sure theres something aboot bristol nightlife on the web... runs off to look..
