quick explanation first: i use a .forward on a unix account i have to throw all my mail to gmx.net.. and for some quite strange reason i can't receive mail from one individual on a yahoo account (i can send mail to myself from my own yahoo account which is even stranger), anyway i've no blocking or anything like that…

quick explanation first:

so thats the problem.. the fix being obvious, stop all mail from that one person from being forwarded to gmx.

is there a way of editing a simple .forward to do this? or do i need to open the procmail man pages?

sorted. 5 minutes playing around with procmail done the job..
