    Hi
I have a SB128PCI. Im running W98SE. Everything was fine with it until I installed Freespace2.Now when I am playing CStrike sometimes I dont get any sound at all. I removed it from the device manager and restarted my comp. The
joystick port installed no probs, then it saw that I had a SB64PCI, automatically installed drivers, then it saw a SB128PCI and automatically installed the drivers. Now in Device Manager there is the usual exclamation mark beside 128. I was thinking of moving the card to another port? frown.gif
    Any help would be appreciated!

no, does it come with an install package?
check add/remove programs for that, if not, just download up to date drivers from soundblaster.com, remove device from device manager,
at this stage, the new drivers should come with a setup file and should auto install the drivers and reboot your system.
    see if ti works.
if not, remove card, shut down, change pci slot, reboot, cancel when it tries to install the card and run the setup again.
if it doesnt come with a setup executable, just have disk in add/remove wizard and browse to your .inf file and install in manually
if that doesnt work, take out card, throw away, buy decent sound card with dolby 5.1 plus full surround sound and really big speakers. buy new dvd player and widscreen tele, throw away pc, build home entertainment room and pad walls with empty egg cartons and watch dvds all day, become a porn star, start your own company and become rich.
but only if the new drivers dont work....
