    ok., i had a 1Ghz+ AMD duron..
then my video card went bust and i put in a new one(exact same).
i restarted my comp and it went from 1Ghz to 664mhz.
i just want to clock it back up to 1Ghz.
    -How do i do this??
    -what do i need??
-do i have to open my comp up??
in simple english plz, as i am a noob to this topic.

Restart your comp and before it boots up press delete, to go into set up. Your settings are all in there somewhere. then just find the relevant option relating to cpu mhz spped, and set it to 1000.

What mobo do u have anyway?

Ah an ECS :) Had one myself, things didnt work out.

Anyway, yes, its a simple matter of doing what i said above, and going into your bios. Should be easy to find. If you can't, then don't change anything, and just exit and come back here by which time someone familiar with the mobo might be able to give you a detailed step by step on where the option is.
