World Cup on BBCi

    OK, I've tried getting an answer on www.digitalspy.co.uk, and failed. So I'm trying here, on the off-chance (Not very likely, I know, but God loves a trier!) that someone knows the answer. When the World Cup's on BBCi (the interactive service) if there's 2 matches taking place at the same time, can the viewer choose which game to watch live?

    I think if there's two games on one will be on BBC and the other one will be on ITV.

    So in short, the answer's "NO" then?

    Thanks very much mate. Now why couldn't I get such a courteous reply from the English?

    After taking a wee look at BBC website:
    Viewers can access the BBC's interactive service during live broadcasts by pressing the Red Key on their handset when the 'i' icon and 'press red' prompt appears on-screen.

    A menu bar will then appear with options linked to the colour fasttext keys on the remote control.

    The Red menu key offers extra Audio streams from BBC presenters, BBC Radio Five Live, or select no commentary for stadium sound;

    The Green key shows picture-in-picture Highlights from the current match so you catch up with what you missed at the same time as keeping pace with the game

    The Yellow key is an Extra channel offering an aerial view of the game alongside live pictures with audio analysis from two of football's best known coaches.
    In addition to this, after the BBC's England and Ireland games, there will be a live 'Talk Forum' with Match of the Day presenters for thirty minutes after the final whistle for viewers to get it off their chest and tell us their views.

    The 'Talk Forum' will also be streamed live on the BBCi website at

    www.bbc.co.uk/worldcup.

    The Blue key presents a Menu taking you through to profiles of every player, there are group tables and live updated stats from the match, such as possession, corners won and fouls conceded for trivia buffs.
    And in addition, outside of live BBC football broadcasts, a multi-screen interactive service will be available to Digital Satellite viewers through the Text button on the remote control.

    Highlights of three matches will be on offer, plus an interactive highlights forum for viewers to get involved and have their say.

    Go here for all the details:
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport3/worldcup2002/bsp/tv_and_radio/default.stm

    hope this helps.
