Wow, that's interesting, seeing as Star Trek and Star Wars are completely different.

Rent out Star Wars (the first one). See if you like it. If you do, go see Ep 2. You've never seen Star Wars?

I really would recommend seeing the other films first. You'll miss out on the story, which means there's a whole part of the film that will bore you (oh but you'll like the pretty flashing lights).

like the way no one commented on roadkill and instead commented on Starwars...

I enjoyed roadkill but i would not go see it in the cinema... it was not that good... was ok in a made for TV kind of way.

Nail, head, hammer there Saruman, exact same impression I got. Good on video or TV, but cinema? Like Jeepers Creepers. It's decent enough watching it at home on the couch on a sunday, but I'm not so sure I should have seen it in the cinema.

I was watching a "serious review" program on RTE or TV3 just before Ep 2 came out. 3 people reviewed it. Two of whom hadn't seen any of the previous Star Wars films. They didn't like Ep 2. Then there was an older lady (here was me thinking "oh **** she's gotta slate it") who watched all of them just before going to the premiere. She said she loved it. Once you get into the story you'll enjoy it more.
