Damien Rice plays his last two Irish gigs of the year (bar Festival appearances) at The Stables in Mullingar this Saturday and Sunday, May 25th and 26th.

Saturday's show will be a full-on band affair with Lisa Hannigan (vocals, electric guitar), Tomo (drums n percussion), Shane Fitzsimons (bass) and, er, Damien. Sundays show will be a more intimate, theatre style acoustic show with Lisa and Vyvienne Long on Cello as well as an unnamed (as yet) violinist.

A full supporting cast over the two nights includes Jimmy Broder (both nights), Margaret Healy (Sunday), and UK band Mouse (Saturday). More special guests will appear, but we're not naming them yet. You'll just have to come along and see...

All in all, two great nights and a chance for everyone to bid farewell to The Stables as they have known it and we have loved it.

Tickets are on sale now via: www.damienrice.com / thestables@hotmail.com / or from Heartbeat City, Town Mall, Mullingar (044) 40382 or from the venue (044) 40251.

Buy one for Saturday and get 4 euro off a Sunday one. Or be one of the first 5 people to respond to this posting (via email) and get 2 for free. How generous could we be?
