"24" Scheduling RTE

Does anyone know what RTE's plans on scheduling 24 are? I note this week we're going to get another double dose which means RTE will be ahead of BBC Choice. Are we gaining episodes before World Cup comes and knocks it of air or are we going to be finished on RTE mid/late July?
I know that in America it's nearly all over but would appreciate anyone who knows how quickly RTE intend to show the episodes letting me know.
    Thanks

I would suspect that it has more to do with the world cup than wanting to get ahead of BBC Choice.

I'd tend to agree...very few people in ROI can actually recieve BBC CHOICE...

However...the schedules for Network 2 on MyDigiguide don't go up to 4th June but the previous day, there is a World Cup highlights at 10pm, but Friends, Scrubs etc all go ahead - RTE has managed to preserve some of their Comedy Night.

Also next week, Ally McBeal and 24 trade places. Seemingly it will be Ally rather than 24 which gets the axe during the World Cup.

24 fans will be glad to know its been renewed for a second season...how they can keep up the tension though, I don't know, I've semi-lost interest sometimes...

The last episode is on in america soon

The last episode on N2 ended it for me but i continue to watch to see what happens

I thought they wanted to get ahead of BBC2 as E4 is now on NTL and as they are ahead in the most popular american programmes on RTE at the moment.

I thought they wanted to keep Ally a while longer as it is the last series and E4 are so far ahead that anyone watching on N2 would not be happy to go over to E4.

I guess their trying to get more viewers for N2.

Which will mean N2 should have a good Month in May with the World cup.

Notice that they are not repeating matchs during the morning on N2 this time round, and the first match gets an hour of highlights that evening at 7. ITV will be repeating the first match at 1 O clock the next morning.

What day do you have 24 down as being broadcast next week (w/b 26/5/02)? I looked up the RTE Guide in Tescos this morning to find it's listed for Tuesday again next week but 1 episode. If it continues to be broadcast during the World Cup I'd be a happy chappy alright - they seem to do a double bill once every 3 - 4 weeks of it. My recollection is that RTE started the series a few weeks after the BBC.
Mind you if anyone knows how to obtain videos from America of the series I'm all ears .. and yes I've been sad - I've been on the Fox website looking at a few epsiode details, but it keeps mentioning new characters so that I can't really work out what went on. Did hear on Radio2 today tho' that Jack Bauer stays alive so I know that he'll live on to fight another day.
Thanks for your help folks anyhow so far...

There is plans for another series which occurs the next day.

So i hope jack is still alive for the next series, also he is the best actor in the show, Kiefer Sutherland.

There's three endings filmed for 24, a signifigent character in each one dies (all three endings should be on the DVD).... but... thanks to mates in the US, I was inadvertantly given the ending of the series. Anyone want to know ???

Yes, it'll be Tuesday at 9:30pm, followed by an extremly strange episode of Ally McBeal at 10:30pm.

The following week, 24 will go out at Tuesday at 9pm. Ally McBeal will not air that week, nor probably for the rest of the group stages of the World Cup.
