Not sure if anyone who reads this forum may have seen it but
on Saturday evening one of the count centre reporters for
TG4 looked like he had a bad hair day and initially had to
hand back to the anchormen. When they returned he was
going well in fluent Gaeilge and midway through his report
he lost it again and bowed his head uttering a very common
4 letter expletive expression beginning with F. Skilfully
the slick TG4 editors managed to switch back to suitably
poker faced anchormen who handled the situation admirably.

It raised a few belly laughs, though in our household. :))

I thought that was the 5:30 Nuacht on RTÉ 1.

Ciaran Le Noc, I think it was... :D

No, I saw it on TG4. I remember clearly as my
wife recognized one of the studio pundits as a
guy from college days. So it is pretty remarkable
that the piece got 2 airings obviously one
on TG4 and also on the nuacht. And yes the
name you mention sounds right. We were trying
to translate the English equivalent of his
surname. I figured it might be Lennox.
Wasn't it a report from the Cork count centre
in City Hall ? Lennox is the name of a great
fish and chips outlet in Cork :))
