Has anybody else had the misfortune of seeing that new Brennan's bread ad where the blind woman comes into the store to do her shopping and pinches the guy's ass at the end? Is it just me, or is it incredibly offensive???

i dont find it offensive.... taught it was funny but in a stupid way... if it was a guy that pinched a girls ass then there would be loads of complaints.... i think we guys can laugh it off.... its only an ad...

It's an unusual one - first time I saw it I didn't like it...but upon re-viewing it, I think it's quite good - why shouldn't blind people pinch peoples bums in the same way sighted people do? I think it presents a positive view. Blind people can flirt too

Brennans must have moved advertising company along with kinder, as both have gone from same old same old boring safe ads with cheesy music to something a bit naughtier :) - I was surprised to see it, but i don't like/dislike it really

that brennans ad would have been good had there been a hint of actual dialogue, decent actors or a good looking woman.

The add has obviously had the desired affect. Here we are discussing it on a message forum.

no, because she seams to be looking at the guy, and also at the end when she goes "just cheaqing" she knows where your man is

Actually discussed this with a few mates, and they pointed out that some blind ppl are very very good of guessing where you are, esp if there is little or no backround noise.

Still I didn't like the ad, I failed to see why it would boost the product image, or increase sales. Wasn't insulting tho, tbh I don't have any sensitivity over blindness, versus a physically handicapped person. Then again thats down to personal issues.

am when i first saw it , i was all like oh my god someone feeling up a slicepan , but now i just think its funny , in all fairness i never ever saw that happen in a shop , so its kind of unexpectedly funny , in a weird way.

Heh, well said Kali (though I'm more partial to good looking men myself, but same rule applies).

The dialog is pretty bad. Long silences. It's just generally a really annoying bad bad ad. I have to turn the sound off when it's on.

Re: the actress. I thought she might have been actually blind. Her eyes have their weirdness to them I've only seen in blind people.

I usually buy Brennan's bread. The ad makes me want to do otherwise. It's counter-productive. Then again who cares about ads, I buy whatever bread tastes good.
