    Knocked out in the second round. I think we can secure runners up, but Spain will be too strong for us. And before anyone says it, yes, Spain probably will underachieve at the WC, but they will still beat us in my (educated) opinion.:(

    We have a fairly decent chance of getting to the semis if we we win our qualifying group. If we come second it will be much harder.

    id have to say quater finals were somebody like italy would beat us in a repeat of italia90.
    although do believe that ireland can beat anybody on their day.

    I reckon it'll be a repeat of Italia '90, unless they meet Spain in the second round. Otherwise Italy will get them in the quarters

    Win the group => out in the 1/4s
    2nd in group => out in 2nd round

    I really hope I am proved wrong though.

    The very best we can hope for is a quarter finals place. But from I've seen I reckon we'll get out of the group and be knocked out in the last 16.
