I'm delighted the premiership is over for a few months. No more listening to soccer-heads ranting on about Liverpool, Man U, Everton. Even better, no more listening to Celtic-heads ranting on about some team in Scotland. The real sports season starts soon with the All-Ireland Hurling C'Ship. But not before Munster take the European Cup home.

Hurling? A sport where country simpletons with bushy eyebrows and half their teeth missing shake sticks at each other? Don't make me laugh!

Funny, I didnt know "ruger" was an Irish sport, shows what I know!
But I agree it will be nice not having to turn on the tv and listen to Irishmen claim how "we have the most exciting league in the world" (theyv given up on saying best as its clear that the Spanish league is technically far better) in relation to the ENLGISH premiership.

    Enjoy your hurling campaign. :)

If ye dont like GAA fair enough, neither do I to be perfectly honest honest!
However I do consider myself to be "reasonably" normal and try not to hate anyone, so please do not claim to speak for everybody on this board when ye start spouting your ****e!

    Thanks
    Jake

    Please shut up Jake.

I am only responding to an overly xenophobic Fenian fool who thinks that just because someone doesn't worship his parocial sports that he must therefore be English.

So quit taking offence to my comments or just take your overly P.C. attitude over to the "I've got a stick up my arse" board and stay out of my way.

Shut up Jake as i agree with PIGMAN that u clearly have a stick up your ass. Everyone knows alll GAA fans are inbred hicks.

Oh stop bitchin', the lot of ye... sheesh...

anyway, - on the topic at hand...

I'm happy that it's over in that it makes my weekends that little bit quieter and easier in work. I'm not so happy it's over because it was genuinely interesting and exciting this year - for once.

Still, as already mentioned, there's no let-up in football fever this year as the World Cup is less than 2 little weeks away.

    Take your pick everyone:

    - All GAA fans are inbred hicks batin' each other with sticks (hey it rhymes!) with wellies on and a tractor parked at the turnstiles.

    - All Irish soccer fans are brainless zombies who think they have a "passion for soccer" but are really just sellouts to Sky Sports and now that the world cup is upon us they can relieve their guilt by supporting Ireland and hating English soccer instead of worshipping it during the rest of the year (phew).

As for me, I follow English soccer, but It's Munster rugby (a real Irish team) and Limerick hurling that comes first. Now where did I lave that trachtor?

Interestingly, Dublin must be the only city in the world where they put results of the English/Foreign league as the main headline in a local paper (the Herald).

Firstly you say its MY ****e and now you say its my mates ****e which I am subsequently just parroting. Make up your mind as to what line of inane rubbish you're going to shoot out of your pea-brain before you subject us all to it, you rambling idiot.

    Fenian Fools

    Pigman you're a disgrace!

You remind me of those sad getto African-Americans that call each other "Nigg$er$"

You are Not fit to call yourself a Dubliner nor Irish.

    Get of this board.

Don't see what people are unhappy about the World Cup's about to start.

Well I'm glad to see you have such a good insight into African American "ghetto" culture. Presumably you've gained this knowledge from living the life (as opposed to watching re-runs of Jerry Springer?)

    No,
I worked and lived in many parts of Washington, New York, Chicago..

Sorry if I offended you, I don't actually want you off the board.

Well, I don't miss the premiership as I'll get plenty of soccer from the World Cup
