Given his recent disciplinary history I think Liverpool signing him would be a mistake imho.

Houllier must think he can tame Bowyer and get the best out of him. He is a great player but temperment is an issue, a bit like Anelka really. One player like that would be difficult but two in the team would probably lead to problems.

I know they play on different wings but if they had £10-15 mil to spend on a winger my money would go on Duff rather than Bowyer. They should try and sign him before the WC cause hes going to be fantastic!!

    Cheers

Although i think Bowyer is a good player, I dont think he will bring anything to Liverpool that isnt already there.
Duff would seem a better choice atm.

I hope the paki-basher doesn't end up at Anfield. As well as being overrated and too individual a player he's now carrying "baggage" that we could do without.

but what about anelka he carried more baggage than anyone else yet most liverpool fans i know are happy to get him.

I think there's one important difference between Anelka and Bowyer, one is a violent thug the other just has an attitude problem, one is likely to be tamed by Houlier other other will just lead to conflict within the squad and with the manager and board.

Houlier got rid of all the troublemakers and the result is a team that pulls together and has an above average disiplinary record.

Anelka seems to have become less volatile as he's got older, Boywers mentaility I suspect a central part of his character and will always be a problem.

Nope, Boywer is one top talent Liverpool can live without!

    Mike.
