How dare you insinuate that www.rosnarun.tk is a pisstake!
I would never joke about something so important.
Ros na Run has replaced glenroe as the only credible outlet on TV to discuss rural matters in an everyday atmosphere. (you have "ear to the ground", but if i see another piece about a farmer who creates electricity from his slurry pit, i'll choke).
it also happens to be the most popular means for irish people to hear the irish language - and that include's the leaving cert. irish aural tape test! and not only is it irish, but it's irish like they speak it, with accents and sayings and little bits of english thrown in for the hell of it.
so next time you see ros na run, or a ros na run fansite, dont be so quick to judge. cos some day we'll wake up and rte will have finally gone bankrupt and a PD led government will stop funding to the irish language, and we'll all be living in Dublin, or one of Dublin's suburbs, and we'll say to ourselves, i wish'd i'd watched more of ros na run when it was around.

ah feck- here was I misreading the topic and thinking this was a thread about "Síle Seilide" (Sheila the Snail) ... remember her ??? I think she was in "Flahertys Garden" - the animated short on Bosco, so many years ago.

Anyway... Síle - eh? she's alright... her big sis is purtier tho'

Actually never realised Sile was related to Grainne. Until now. There's a new reality thingy starting on TV3 next week apparently to find a new presenter for Xpose. Think Sile would be great for it. Now she's unemployed and all that. As a counterblast for those Dorthead D4 types on it now. Bit of the wesht. Any number we can phone to vote (even though she's probably too proud to be in it)??
