i have been to holland a number of times now, 3 time in total. when u arrive in amsterdam city, the train will take u to centraal station. when u walk outside the station, walk staright in front of u. that street is called Damrack St. u will dind a cheap hostel/hotel there to do u a number of nights.

amsterdam is similar to dublin in that it has signs on most shops looking for staff, there is also a large amount of recruitment agencies, adecco should be one u will know from ireland. www.adecco.nl damrack street is one street that leads of Dam square, all the other are shopping streets, like grafton street/henry street, but bigger.

finding accomadition, from what i hear isnt to bad, everyone rents in holland, its only in the past few years that people have been starting to actualy buy apartments, and houses, before thatb it was almost un heard of, so renting a place isnt a problem. there are also accomadition agencies, the recrutment agencies wil give direction etc..

i would def go over there first to get the feel of the city..def look online for recrutment agencies etc..

I hear squating is very popular in Amsterdam. I was watching a show on it before and there seems to be thousands of young people living in this way.
