Can someone set me straight on the situation on the comms bill? Last i heard it was passed in the dail? (when mary o rurke didnt want to pass the ammenment for flat rate)

so what happening now? Is the comms bill active now? or does it have to be signed by the president?

Basically what I'm asking is : When is the comms bill coming into effect?

Funny, I just asked Dave the same question. Where's our Commission then? :)

The bill is in and the ODTR will be operating with the new powers until the commission is set up. The time frame alluded to by the DoPE suggests it could be several months as the new commissioners have to be selected and given sufficient time to depart their current jobs.
