Well I always look at this excelent quiz show when I can, which isn't often as it's on in the daytime.
But I had a look today and saw the red Dog at the top.
To my surprise it accessed an interactive version of the game.
Each time the host asks a question 3 choices come up on the screen(which is more than the contestant gets :) ) and if you choose the right one you get 10 points.
You can also press yellow to nominate the person on the screen and if they get their answer wrong you get another 10 points.
All this with a BBC Card :)

    1. I LOVE the interactive "Fifteen to One"- play it once a week, and enjoy it, even though my highest position so far is 18th!

    2. The "red dog" in question is the thing which appears on the screen about 10 seconds before the start of the programme.

DOG: Digitally Originated Graphic - a permanent onscreen logo, and a term of derision in certain quaters - see 625.uk.com ...

This isn't quite a DOG (technically speaking), its' usually generated by the digibox instead and can be made disappear by pressing BACK UP.

It was a cool game, they should have it on at a respectble hour after six.
It's gas that , playing the interactive game puts three options up on the screen so you have "one over" on the tv contestant and those questions can be difficult enough.
It makes the choice of pressing a number to answer the question or yellow to nominate easier.

    Yeah, I'd wondered about that.
Presumably though, the Red dots , generated and all as they are by the digibox can only appear if commanded to, by the channel.
I see they appear now regularily during add breaks on Sky's movie channels.
When pressed they direct you to a service in interactive related to that add.
They are very annoying imo on the movie channels.
There is a way to permanently get rid of them, posted here by someone-I've forgotten how.
Pressing back up only rids you of the rotter for a short time.
    Anyone remind me how??
Will put a post it sticky on the tv:D
Heck it's bad when the red dot annoys me more than a post it:D

If you press red then backup immediately (before any interactive loads) the acne will not reappear as long as you don't change channel or press select or any other button. Not really a great solution, if anyone knows anything better I would love to hear about it. Apparently on the UK SKY one a dot appears on some programmes after the end of each ad break, something we have to look forward to I suppose.

It's a pity that one scart doesn't have a picture only output like the old analogue recievers did, at least then recordings would not be ruined.
