i got a cable modem installed a while ago, but im a bit dissapointed with the pings on irish servers, doing a traceroute to www.eircom.net, goes through many hops in england and then onto amsterdam, and finally back to dublin, esat also goes through england. this just seems moronic, according to www.inex.ie, ntl are peered with inex, but the routing has been like this since i got it installed.
is this the same for everyone else ?
why is it not fixed ?
