First of sorry if this is in the wrong place:

Right folks I need some help, myself and my girlfriend want to immigrate to Australia. We have already done a year's work Holiday out there and we would now like to move there for good. What I need is some advice the Australian government website is useless for advice so has anyone done this or know anyone who has emigrated there, what needs to be done? I don't have any college/University education but I do work in IT support and I know that IT is an essential field for Australia. My girlfriend has masters in something or other so I think we will have what is required to apply. Does anyone know of any help we can get? Genuine replies only please as this is very import to us and we really want to get cracking on this one.

Try this page, it seems to be quite detailed http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/skill.htm , I don't know how your skills will score on the points system. I presume your work experience will count for something (Computing Support Technician 3294-11 TRA is worth 40 points), although your lack of third level will go against you.

I suppose a quick call to the embassy to ask them about what the current points level is would help (and ask them for any other guidance).

    The actual points system.
