Anyone else watching the disastrous sound levels on UTV live tonight? At the end of the "Reporters Worst Nightmares" or some such generic programme with a similar title Gillian Porter attempted to make a continiuity announcement but was plagued with lots of interference as if the mic was overloaded. A few ads later we went to UTV live where the sound was turned REALLY LOW. The interference was still heard on the first report though did seem to improve. An apology was made at the end of the bulletin. We then attempted to watch the weather but the tape with the sponsorship broke up so it went into an ad. break and a successful broadcast of the weather followed just before the footie. Interestingly not attempt was made on continuity when the UTv ident came up at the start of the footie - a still of the UTV logo was held in place for about 5 seconds or possibly more where continuity normally come in.
Anyone else see it? Anyone on the inside of UTv who knows what went wrong?

So, just an ordinary Wednesday night at Havoc House!!! (By the way, it isn't just us viewers who call it that. My mate Aidan Browne is a (part-time) continuity announcer, and he refers to it as that!!!):D
