People Who Dont Log Out From Boards!!!!

FFS ppl, i have logged out for 3 ppl here in DNC this week from boards. If i was an ars3hole, i'd use that to post some crap to get u banned, but i have logged u all out.... dont make the mistake again pls, someone will get u in trouble, possibly in real life.

Yeah happens to me too. I don't know how many PC's here in work (and in college for that matter ) are logged in as 'swiss'. This gives quite a bit of scope for some muppet to post crap on my account. Ahem, yes this explains my crap postings adequetly

if you use boards on severalcomputers ppl should setup their cookies better in the user cp. ie set it up so it doesn't store you ruser name and passwords on the computer. (the automatically log on feature.)

There is also a feature in IE that store usernaems and passwords aswell. can't remebr how to turn it off,but i think it has something to do with the security options.

If you go into IE Properties and do the following it wont automatically insert your password with a user name or not to store user names either.

Go to the

- Content Tab
- Under Personal Info click Autocomplete
- Uncheck the following
- Forms
- User Names and Passwords on Forms
- Prompt me to save user names and passwords
- To ensure that all stored info is cleared, click clear forms button
and click clear passwords button

That only clears the histories etc on logon, if the system is left on.. a public system it does not help. I think maybe people just need to log out in that case! Or make sure the systems dont save the cookie

Looging out won't make a difference.....i think you altomatically log out if your idle for a period of time (at least i do)....must ppl have the "automatically log on" feature turned on in their user cp.

If the cafe's got a half-decent sys admin, the Autocomplete feature should be turned off.
