well , who is the best cowboy . i been looking at a lot of westerns lately and one of these two always seems to star in em , i used to think clint was deadly for the dirty harry movies , but as a cowboy john wayne is fairly cool , although the quiet man kinda lost me and my faith in him . any one got an opinion on this?

yeah clint has got dat edge , but rooster cogburn in true grit played by john wayne was well admirable but just not tough enough , i guess .

Sorry just seen this post - I think John Wayne is a moran, crap actor/movies, cant say I enjoyed any of them. But clint, dirty harry, cowboy movies - definately a winner in my book.
