Well Jimeatsmenu, if you've seen the trailer you'll already know that he levitates instead of walking which looks pretty kick a**.

    I can't wait.

i rang the savoy yesterday and they aren't taking bookings yet. they said they aren't allowed til the film is given a certificate and it seems the censor won't get to see it til at least may 7th, argghghhh.
this'll make booking tricky, *have* to see it in savoy one

    Hey Raife,

I think May 16th is the release date over in the States as well. It's been long awaited. What you think about N-Sync playing troopers under helmets? I think we could have gone without, eh?

I just wanna see how Anakin (Darth Vader) falls into the pit, and makes the transistion, from Anakin.. into Darth Vader.

"What you think about N-Sync playing troopers under helmets? I think we could have gone without, eh?"

im sick of this. i couldnt care if they were in it or not. Aparently only the analy retentive would've been able to spot them in the film.

    grow up.

it's mentalaties like that that has people coming out of a film saying things like "they ruined the whole film by putting in that boyband for 1/2 nano seconds".

just enjoy the film and stop giving out about something your not even going to notice.

There storm Troopers won't that mean a segment of the people going to see the film are going to cheer then cry whenever storm troopers appear, because we all know what happens to storm troops, yep chaffing :)

thanks for the retort, "Mod". I was stating a fact, no need to get your lil panties in a twist. I didn't see the film, nor did you (probably).. the "N-Sync appearing in Star Wars II", has been all over the news.

because I stated that, that requires "grow up"? stfu..

opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. ty kindly :)

And it being in the news was completely moronic. It was a non-event, blown up into a massive event by the media, and the idiots who insist on regurgitating this "fact" at every single discussion about the movie.

Well, here's the full facts :

    1) They are not in the movie. Their possible involvement was dropped - at their own request - when it got so much negative coverage

    2) Anyone involved in the making of the film who has commented on it has pointed out that it would have been in a scene of similar scale to the "awards ceremony" at the end of A New Hope, with the guys heavily made up. In fact, if the media hadnt made such a biggie of it, it is unlikely they would have been spotted by anyone - except perhaps the most arduous of N-Sync fans.

    3) Bono was touted as being given a cameo role in this movie in the early days of casting. No-one batted an eyelid. So why the big deal over N-Sync?

Its a non-issue. It was made an issue by the media trying to sell copy to idiots who would care about this thing. Its been perpetuated by idiots who think that the identity of a few extra's in a large-population scene was somehow central to the movie.

You asked what we thought....thats what I think. Thats what most people here seemed to think about it the last several times this issue was brought up. You have your answer - can we please move on and discuss something vaguely relevant - like what is in the movie.

letting it be known who is the movie, and having the news let it be known, is moronic? so, what you are saying.. is that in comparison.. to WWF, as well as all news anchors, sports anchors, etc.. letting it be known that "The Rock"/Dwayne Johnson (playing in Scorpion King), was moronic, right?

I could care less about N-Sync. They suck in my mind. I believe in my oriiginal post, I made notion, that I could care less.. and they could have gone without (putting N-Sync into Star Wars, Episode II)..

last time I read/heard, they were gonna be in Star Wars : Episode II, under masks, playing troopers or some part. I didn't hear it was dropped.. you got anywhere I can read that?

I just wrote out what I knew from the news. again, I am not an N-Sync fan, nor mark.

I do happen to like Samuel L. Jackson (his involvement), in Star Wars. I don't know if he is in Episode II, so I won't make a comment regarding that. I just quote from fact. I also read today that Yoda is gonna be floating? in Star Wars Episode II? again, this is what I read, no certain factual coverage on it.. would be interested in reading up on that.. If given any links.

I'm not a Star Wars Guru, nor claim to be. do I like how this whole Star Wars thing is being redone again? Yes.
Do I care for N-Syncs "possible" involvement in it? No.

This is just my .02 cents to clear up a few things. I am new here, didn't appreciate the remarks without warrant, when I was just stating a fact. just wanted to talk about this upcoming movie, (I too want to enjoy watching it, as many of the other people in this thread, talking about it)..

    k thanks..

There was an equal or greater number of column inches about a boy-band landing a one-scene, heavily "disguised" cameo then there was about, oooh, Hayden Christiansan - virtually a complete unknown - landing the role of Annakin.

Its a cameo. They wouldnt even have made it to the credits list. Had the media not made a big deal of it, no-one would have noticed.

So yes, it is moronic - in my opinion - which you asked for and also pointed out that everyone has one. I feel I'm entitled to it :)

so, what you are saying.. is that in comparison.. to WWF, as well as all news anchors, sports anchors, etc.. letting it be known that "The Rock"/Dwayne Johnson (playing in Scorpion King), was moronic, right?
Actually, I'd be more inclined to put it on par with Bono's appearance in The Million Dollar Hotel, but I cant seem to remember a huge furore about that 1/2 second of screen time, nor indeed about any cameo ever before this one.

last time I read/heard, they were gonna be in Star Wars : Episode II, under masks, playing troopers or some part. I didn't hear it was dropped.. you got anywhere I can read that?

www.google.com. Search for "star wars NSync". You should see plenty on just the first page.
Do I care for N-Syncs "possible" involvement in it? No.
But you obviously do care. You feel they should have been left out, and said as much.

Me - I couldnt care less about extras. I dont care if they're played by convicted criminals who were on a day-trip to the Lucas studios, nor if they're played by the reincarnation of Mother Theresa. They are extras - human scenery added to "fill up" scenes. The vast majority of them (including the roles assigned to NSync originally) do not have lines.

This is just my .02 cents to clear up a few things. I am new here, didn't appreciate the remarks without warrant, when I was just stating a fact. just wanted to talk about this upcoming movie,

No problem. Sorry for being so harsh, but it really galls me that no-one seems to be able to discuss the movie in the last 6 months, without someone asking for an opinion on who was selected to play a bunch of indignificant extras. If thats the best conversation we can find about the upcoming movie....we're a bit doomed, arent we.

well, all aside.. not all the time, can you find "wonders" playing key roles, ya know? I mean, hell.. look at the clown that plays Spider-Man.. I mean, come on now.. out of all the people they could have gotten.. they landed him??

hell, just the other day, I picked up the paper, and it said "The Rock - soon to be the next Sylvester Stallone". course, I can see that.. alot of the actors (from the hey-day), are getting old now. even the youngest, (sorta), Wesley Snipes.. is wearing old. sorry for getting out of topic, just making some points. what it comes down too.. nobodies in films, lol.. more or less..

is Samuel L Jackson in Episode II?

I didn't check Google. I heard they are in some joint thing with AOL? I just got done reading, that.. in Halloween 8, Busta Rhymes is in it. why? lol, in H20.. they had to have LL Cool J.. now, in the next one.. it's Busta Rhymes?? when did Halloween go Hip-Hop??

also, swaying away from topic for a minute.. any news on if they are making Jason V. Freddy? that was supposed to come out in late 1990's. they said, depending on the rate of how well Jason-X is, they will then go about taking care of Jason V. Freddy. Course, I seen bits and pieces of Jason-X (friend got it off net).. and wasn't that impressed. why the hell is Jason in space? and why the hell they make him futuristic? god, I miss the old days..

I miss the days when watching, Texas Chainsaw Masscare, Night Of The Living Dead, etc.

enough rambling, I'm going to the video place.

he is supposed to have a pretty major part in the film and possibly in epIII. have a look at the 'clone wars' (theres about 4 trailers on starwars.com) trailer if you want to see yoda floating. looked very cool. he's done for the most part in this film in cgi.

did you see Changing Lanes with Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Affleck? I saw it at the theatres, don't waste you're money. movie wasn't worth the near $20 I spent, with my date and I. I should have waited till it hit video place, and spend $3.23 lol
