By what is RADSL I don't mean what does it stand for - I already know that, what I mean is:

What speed is it generally as a consumer product?
    What's its max speed?
Will Eircom/Esat/Nevada roll RADSL out soon?

    And such...thanks.

noel, it allows people to get the same download speeds as adsl and i think upload iswell for people of upto 5.5km away from the exchange.

I was looking at the BT records and I saw that it took 1 year after the launch of adsl for Radsl to be launched :(

check out this Radsl FAQ link:

RADSL doesnt have a fixed speed, it stands for Rate Adapted DSL iirc.. basically meaning your bandwidth depends on your line quality/distance from exchange. of course I'd presume that most companies offering it would put a set limit on it anyway, which would mean your basically left with ADSL.

In order of preference, we'd all like:

    1) Fibre to the home
    2) Ethernet
    3) VDSL
    4) SDSL
    5) ADSL
    6) RADSL
    7) IDSL

Though 6 and 7 there are open to debate. Personally, of the two I'd rather have IDSL.
