I have an account on hotmail but I want to access the new messages from pine in my linux account. I know that fetchmail allows you to recieve the messages so I can read them in pine but it doesn't seem to work for me. Could anyone post an example of how it should be used to connect to hotmail, if possible or if they know of another way to retrieve the mail.

    Thanx

Hotmail is IMAP afaik, so find a proggy that will do it for ya. I think there's a version of OE for UNIX somewhere.

Hotmail provides no way to access mail from their systems externlly via either pop3 or imap.

they do however allow some mad http retrival using outlook express.

so im afriad there is no way to get ur hotmail spam on your unix machine.

    Regards,

    Paul

p.s fetchmail supports imap aswell bte -p pop3/imap are ways to reference it.
