Ya and norman whiteside and bryan robson. you'd be surprised theres many players that have suffered through alcoholsism. Stuart pearce also comes to mind. You have to admire the bravery of owning up to addiction esp in their position with the ravaging press on their backs and all. funny thing is adams managed to lead a team out on the park and even acclaim man of the match awards with ths problem but was only a shadow of his normal self in the eyes of those around him. he seems articulate in interviews. a real pro.
