I used to hate it, I take a year long module in micro and macro. Started to read the book and it all makes sense now..

most people find micro a lot easier than macro at first so maybe start with that. also there is a pretty good text book by a guy called mankiew (sp??) called Principles in Economics. It is one of the best and simplest around no complicated language just simple examples about ice-cream salesmen and the beatles and stuff....it's probably in your college library.

    I dont like Mankiw myself,
A very good book is Sloman Economics-
I used it in 1st and 2nd year- Tons of excelent Examples and Graphics- Prolly a little more user friendly than Mankiw :)
(I think theres a CD Rom that goes with it now as well)
