N64 EMU Sound Skipping ADVICE PLEASE!

Anyone any advice on how to improve the sound quality in N64 Emus, i've tried the romz on 3 of EMUs and all 3 have the sound skipping/chopping, the buffering helps a good bit, but when music and s/fx are played at the same time, this results in skipping. get a new computer. 1ghz+ that your only bet. or use ultrahle
