Do UTV, BBC, C4, C5 and Sky have the Rights to show american show here in Ireland.

And if they dont how can they complain that RTE, TV3 and TG4 have not got the rights to show american shows in the north for that matter in Britain, since they show those show in Ireland with out anyone in Ireland saying anything.

I dont think RTE where too please to hear that e4 is coming to NTL as they have Friends and ER first, two of RTE's top shows.

Should RTE not be giving out to e4 and their perant company C4?

If RTÉ wanted to be bitchy about it , they could...
The cable co's have to provide RTÉ and even if they didn't it's available off the air anyhow.
But just like NTL have to block Home and away on N2 in Belfast due to silly objections from ch5, RTÉ could do likewise with E4 in Dublin.
Indeed ch 4 (E- 4's Mammy) screamed about RTÉ being on SD in NI and hence the delay.
RTÉ want to be in NI-so they'll do nothing about E4 on NTL.
    Perfect politics.
Indeed my conspiracy theoryitis is telling me that this could clear the way for CH 4 being on Sky down here soon as RTÉ will have done a quid pro quo for them on NTL.
