I see Eircom have redone the iStream page with updated prices etc. now that they have agreed terms with the ODTR.

Anyone know if this is available as yet ?

I was looking at it to setup a games network for Quake and such, anyone know if ADSL is good enough for this (low pings and all that).

    Cheers

the pings are crap 50ms-70ms to irish servers.

Also it is a complete rip off compared to third world countries!!

    OOh,

I thought the pings on DSL was meant to be good ?

If not, is there a reasonably priced alternative ,
I am looking mainly for an online games hub but if not possible is there any cheap (like fixed rate) internet access options (like the old Esat No-'So long as you are using less than 75hrs'-limits access)

    Cheers

The only thing that approaches fixed rate is ntl's dialup which is free at weekends, which afaik was midnight saturday to midnight monday only (if they are still offering it at all), not sure if it's available without being a tv or phone subscriber though. check out their website http://www.ntl.ie

Take a look at the IrelandOFFLine forum on this website, they know all about the alternatives, or lack therof.
