The major upset of the season did not come from fights in Glasgow derbies or Jaap Stam trying to write a book.... no it came from Birmingham....... WBA promoted. I don't think even the most loyal fans/supporters of Albion would have thought this. Wolves certainly did not( I hope they will gain promotion some day just not this year). Personally I am happy that Albion and City went up this year and luckely ill managed Leicester and Derby ( a sleep ever since they got the great new stadium) went down! It's great for Albion and their supporters that finally their team will be able to show how underestimated their defense really is. Actually Albion does not score much and does not let through goals. Totally the opposite team of City who score and concede massively. Both styles will contribute to the premiership and finally two teams presummed dead four years ago who prove that with a decent level headed management( ok City is maybe in some ways chaotic but they still kept on going) and some good young investments and sound managers ( Megson,Royle, Keegan) you can reach your goals

to bad for Derby County the only thing the premiership will miss is their..... groundsmen for the perfect pitches delivered on the other hand finally Wimbeldon and Palace will be able to see how good groundsmen work !

All credit to WBA and Megson for getting promoted but I fear for them already.

Megson and the Chairman do not get on so getting the money needed to stay up will be a problem.

As for city, I dont give them a chance. Keegan couldnt organise a defence if he had 100 million to spend. Fulham too raced away with the first division last season and they have really struggled in the premiership. city cant defend and the muppets up front wont score. Goater couldnt two years ago so why will he do it next season? He certainly hasnt got better. Just poorer defences.

I think WBA will be cannon fodder for the premiership teams.

They will be the next Swindon Town! (42 games 5 wins)

Man City already have a better class of footballer, and if they strengthen wisely, could consolidate premiership status.
Keegan proved at newcastlee that he could not build a team that could win the championship, but he proved he could build a potent team, and after all he will have learnt from past experiences, and be a better manager for it.

Too say a team like man city wont score in the premiership is foolish. They play attacking football, and they will score. The question is will they score more than thay concede!

There are 3 leagues in the premiership, the bottom of the table, the mid table and the elite.

City will have to beat the Southhamptons, hold there own against the Middlesboro's, and will be whipped by the ManU's of the world in order to stay up.

it all depends on big Kevs buys this summer.

As a Wolves fan I better be generous so well done but methinks it'll be a better Premiership that has three black country teams
in it! That said I think the plays-offs are a total lottery, Millwall could go up!

Good luck to them. 16 years is a long time to wait for top flight football, and they deserve their chance in the sun. I especially like the fact that they are a team assembled from cheap buys from lower divisions that Gary Megson brought the best out of. If anythine, the Aston Villa games will have kick ass atmosphere.

My dad, who's an athiest and has been all his life, has the prayer mats out that his beloved Norwich City (Don't ask, i'ts a VERY long and boring story!!) go up via the play-offs!!

Back on topic- my mate Graham is an AVID WBA supporter, but would you believe, missed his team going up for the first time in 16 (?) years, as he got married on Saturday, and flew out on his honeymoon about an hour before kick-off, so he couldn't even watch or listen to the match. By the way, his new wife is a Birmingham City fan!!!!!
