Unofficial LUG Social?

    I was wondering if any linux/bsd/aix/solaris ect.... users from Waterford and bordering regions would like to organise a social meeting.
    I believe it is in order as Cork, Galway and Roscommon have official LUG meetings. I believe it would be a great way to meet new people and share ideas, and even hack some kernel together.
    If anybody is interested, feel free to post.

    A beardy meeting would indeed be a good idea. Feel like lugging your ar5e up to carlow for a nite, i could organise an UBER l33t pissup for many many beards. :)

    But id actually go anywhere in the southeast Bar wexford :P, i went to school there and theres nothing of interest in it for me hehe.

    you could always go to the boards.ie session as there will be a few beards at that also.

    Well Carlow isn't too far from me at all, but i'm sure we could even throw a LAN party down here, whichever is the closest designated area for the users, i don't mind.
    We can create the UnofficialILUG ;)

    As far as this other one, i think its held on the 27th if i am not mistaken? I'm a bit strapped for cash until i finish my exams on the 15th of May, any time after that would be perfect.

    Surely we can set something up, i'll bring a copy of Slackware 8.0 for all the l33t0 Linux users to install if they want and Mandrake 7.2 for anybody wishing to install Linux for the first time in a user friendly enviroment. Remember Linux is your friend :)

    Hopefully we can set something up by the 15th of may. Feel free to e-mail me @ penfold@slackroot.com if you want ot set something up.
