Say that there is a Computer Games shop that runs several shops through out the country.

They sell games in their Dublin branch for €69.
    ....................................... waterford.............€80.
    ..................................... Kilkenny................€80.

I bought 3 games in Waterford @ €80 each but they all cost €11 less in Dublin, where do i stand?

Does this constitute "zone pricing" which is illegal right?

I dont think its down to that... more like the store in Dublin has more competition so in order to stay competitive they have to keep their prices low.

Where as in places like Waterford and Kilkenny there are very few stores that would have good selection of games to they can pretty much charge what they like...

I dont think you would have much of case here..

not sure where you stand there.. i would imagine not much of a case.. not onlye down to competition but also it probably costs more to get the stock to those places than Dublin.. weak excuse but possible.. anyway i would be more interested in the diffence in prices between shops with more than one branch in one place.. for isntance Dublin and say Dixons/currys/PC world etc.. i was getting a Gardening program for my dad once.. in pc world it was £50 or so in PC world and across the road in their own sister company it was £150!! i could not believe it..
Also i bought a laptop case in PC world a few weeks back for €99 and 100 meters away currys sold the same thing for €30 less!! So i brought it back, got my money back and then bought it in currys! They are both run by the Dixons group and both have that price promise thing.. i would think they would keep their prices known among each branch especially when we are only talking meters away and not miles!!
