Network 2's Satellite coverage was encrypted for the duration of the Golf from Druids Glen.
Who does RTE think will want to watch it that shouldn't be watching it?
N2 is blocked in Northern Ireland and Britain.
Which only leaves us in the South.
BBC provided the coverage of the event and had the rights,
but I think that if RTE does not have the Satellite rights for an event, they should not show it on any platform.
I hope that a presidence is not being set here.
We will see next Sunday with the Grand Prix.

I get the feeling that this was entirely coincidental.

They don't launch 'til Tuesday, so you can't expect a full service 'til then.

Their BCI contract says that they have to provide a service that's identical to the terrestrial service.

Well at least one poster on these boards has got their hands on an Irish subbed card in GB already.
A little trickle at the bottom of the dam...
nothing much can be done about that and I agree, probably co-incidental timing with Druids Glen..
It would mean the engineers were working on a sunday though:p

I wonder is this only during testing or is it going to be the norm?

    Well Charles Slane says:
