Good news to anyone thats been waiting for Apocalypse Now Redux . Its release date is tomorrow (22nd April). According to blackstar.co.uk and other DVD sites it doesnt have any extra features just a theatrical trailer and 50min extra footage which now brings the movie to over 3 hours. I have yet the see this redux version but that will change from tomorrow

All i've heard about the DVD is that the surround sound uses the Sub-woofer a lot so thats interesting but its only in Dolby Digital not DTS ... pitty.

mmmmm seen this in the cinema. t'was good but so feckin long, couldn't move after it. to make it worse they had one of those irish short clips on before it. but all in all a good film. love that helicopter scene, Robert Duvall is a laugh!

IF you havent already got it get it....its only e24.99 in HMV. Golden Discs is more expensive (By aboot 50c).

If anyone is interested there exists a 5 and half hour version on the net. .its a workprint(quality pretty much sux), but its got everything they filmed for the movie including dennis hoppers death which i though would be in the redux but is not. .
you can get it at videoscreams.com if your brave enough.
takes ages to come and quality is far from good..hardcore only.

When i said "on the net" i meant you can *buy* it from people who happen to sell stuff.. shoulda been clearer. .

if your interested id advise you to look around a bit further.. some copies may be much better quality
