Steve Hill, Malcolm Duffy, Alan Thompson

Overated:
Tiesto and Jules, Frank Kennedy.

Yea, over rated is Deffo Frank Kennedy for me too, I also think Tiesto is a little over rated, so is Maruo Picotto I heard he does praticually the same sets everytime Seb Fontaine is quite overrated aswell.

Underrated:JFK, Dave Clarke,Joy kit, Steve Hill is deffo too, saw him play once in rebox, he was spectalicular! deffo needs to come over again

and i confirm what OJ said mauro picotto is overrated plays more or less the same stuff over an over again

now having said that i do admit i like picotto's tunes

I deteste Judge Jules (he plays commercial tripe, and never take those stupid shades off :rolleyes: )

I was @ a his gig in Temple Theatre (Salthill, Galway), just before the Christmas. There was himself and 3 other Djs on the night. The local tallent with Garry C, then Jules, then Eddy Warry, then Dj Pressure. All I can say is that I'm glad I didn't have to pay the entrance fee, because I was well pissed off at the end of the night. I remember getting plastered because I wanted to go up to Jules and ask him why he can maintain such a stupid grin on his face.

The funny thing is, is that I generally don't drink alcohol at good dance gigs, because I dance most of the night. Garry played a bangin set (as always, I have never heard anything crap while he's been playing). Then Jules came on and played stuff like Ralf Fridge - "Angel", and that bootleg garbage version of PvD's - "For an Angel" (surprisingly called "Found an Angel"). This is just last December for crying out loud. Those tunes are acient, and aren't even classics.

Right, I need a stiff drink to calm down. :mad:

I think Mr. Spring is a bit under-rated I just bought his last album out of a bargain bin for 3 euro. Its a crackin album no way does it deserve to be found in a bargain bin in some **** golden disc outlet.

I dunno about over/under rated but over the last while I've gone to see John Digweed, Mauro Picotto, Paul Oakenfold and actually loads others but I would much prefer to see either Podge, Bubbles, John Power or Robbie Butler play.

They're better DJ's imho. I've yet to see a DJ that I would view as being a great producer play a really great live set.

playin found n angel etc would go down well in Galway,

lol, he was playin musik for the crowd, and thats about there taste in galway, comercial trance.

there are loads of overated djs, alot of them have gotten wher thye are bascily for the tune thye play, big commercial clubs.

just the way it has been for ages, also alot of producers cant mix a beat to save there lives.

anyway, what makes a good dj? the records he plays or his skills?
