    Just wondering if im able to set up this WAN thingy. I was looking at some stuff about it and im looking to get set up my node in the greystones area. Anyone near me or know of anyone?

    You're not that far from Dublin, where the Dublin network is pretty active. http://dublin.irishwan.org is the site; they're working on a new one, but there is a link to the old one there too. 'Bubonic' is the person to talk to about it there btw. A lot of people have asked questions about setting up a wan at the forums at irishwan.org, so it may be worth your while searching through them, even if you don't plan to link up with anyone there.

    IMHO, the best thing to do would be to see if any friends are interested, neighbours, e.t.c. One thing you should definatly take a look at is your LOS (line of sight) to places that you want to link to; e.g. if you're down in a hole it won't be much good setting up a node. ;)
