Renault Scenic - power scenic

Does anyone know why the power steering in my Renault scenic is heavy. I've checked the tyre pressures and even changed the tyres. Slight squeaking noise also from steering column. any ideas ??

You have checked the power steering fluid right? There should be a reservoir a bit like the one for the brake fluid.

almost definitly the fluid

did you buy 4 brand new tyres? did yea need them?bit of a waste of money?
