If I wanted to set my mum up with Sky digital how do I go about getting a Digital box without paying for one off sky. And then poping in a BBC card.

Also What does a BBC card cost and what does it allow me to have?

    Great site BTW

You can get a box and card on e-bay and then get a quote from a local installer for instalation.

A local installer will probably be a better bet than ntl, get a few quotes...

Lads thanks for this. I never knew this existed.

I am from the North but My folks are down south so should be easy.

I am I right in Think that I do the following.

Ring FTV and get a card as if its for Belfast.
Buy a Digi Box off ebay
Get a local guy to rig it up.
24 hours later I ring up and ask for it to be activated.

One thing a bit wrong there ;)
You ring up to get it activated, and then wait up to 24 hours for all the channels (bbc1 takes the longest) to be activated. :)
