auto view problem

when my grundig gds 310/2 changes to an auto view ch i get black tin lines across the picture if i plug out the vcr scart a the stb end the lines disapear i tought they were caused by the video going to auto record mode but its not if i plug out the scart lead at the video the lines remain now this is the strange thing its…

but its not if i plug out the scart lead at the video the lines remain now this
is the strange thing its the scart lead conection on it own causing it
even when is not pluged into the video pluging the scart lead in and out of
the stb scart socket causes them to come and go i tryed 3 scart leads same result
anyone got any ideas?
