Quake 3 mappack server batch files

Hey there kids, I just downloaded a quake 3 map pack, and I've got four server batch files with it, so I'm just wondering what they're for? I know that they allow me to use the maps if I'm running a server, but what I mean is how? where do I put them? what do they do?

I never bother with them. Ignore them. They go away.
