Spurs fan sites are reporting that Jamie Redknap is undergoing a medical for Spurs as we type in a Free Transfer from the 'pool.

Good stuff, keep those physios busy :)

Seriously, if he can get and stay fit he will fit right into Hoddles style of play and make a big difference to Spurs..

All they need now is a striker thats under 35 :)

According to the official Liverpool website, Jamie Redknapp will sign for Spurs later today.

    The story reads:

Liverpool captain Jamie Redknapp today left the club on a free transfer. He is expected to sign for Tottenham hotspur later today.

Jamie actually began his career at Spurs as a schoolboy before turning professional at Bournemouth. The England international was signed by Kenny Dalglish and was, until today, Liverpool's longest serving player amongst the current squad.

He will be sadly missed by fans and team-mates alike and everyone at liverpoolfc.tv wishes him well with the rest of his career."

Yeah its a pity, but even if bullet proof he'd still have job getting regular first team football now, best to move on or move back in this case.

    Mike.

Better off moving on. Besides, we may see more of the wife on Saturday morning telly if he's based in London.

He was my favourite of Roy Evans line up. That knee injury has cost Liverpool a great player. When he was in his prime he was worth in the region of 15 million. Now he leaves on a free transfer.

I agree that he would find it very hard to get a place in the new lIverpool team. Houllier (although he does have a decent squad rotation system going0 is fairly conservative with his squad. Hes gelled this team together well and that's why, UNFORTUNATELY, he probably hadf no chance of featuring long term.

A big loss. I'm sorry to see him go, especially on a free transfer.
Good luck Jamie, well never forget those fab free kicks and perfect passes.

Aye the Injuries that have plagued him during houlliers reign have in the end cost him. the team is now more or less gelled together (in the central midfield area) and no matter how much he does I couldnt have forseen him getting his place back, although hes a damn fine player - injuries.

    Ah well farewell Redders.

Him and Darren Anderton...what a pair they'll make- Sicknote and Sicknote 2.0. Would be nice to see a midfield player with a bit more class (and less senility) than Freund and Sherwood.
